How Our Bespoke Jewellery Process Works

People often imagine that commissioning a bespoke piece is intimidating, expensive, or only for connoisseurs. In reality it's the most natural way to buy fine jewellery — and often the most enjoyable. Here's exactly how it works with us.

Step 1 — The conversation

Everything begins with a chat, in our Central studio or over video. We're not trying to sell you anything yet; we're listening. What's the occasion? Who is it for? Do they wear gold or silver tones, bold or delicate pieces? Is there a stone — or an heirloom — already in the picture? By the end you'll know what's possible and roughly what it will cost. (Always free, never any obligation.)

Step 2 — Finding the stone

This is where our family heritage earns its keep. Pawanya hand-selects gemstones from our own cutting facilities and trusted partners, with origin and treatment fully disclosed. You'll see options — and learn why one stone sings where another merely sparkles.

Step 3 — The design

You receive hand-drawn sketches or a 3D CAD rendering so you can see the piece before it exists. This is a back-and-forth: we refine the proportions, the setting, the metal, until it's unmistakably yours. Nothing is made until you love the design.

Step 4 — The making

Your piece is crafted by hand in our trusted ateliers in Hong Kong, Germany, or Thailand, in 18K gold. Skilled setters secure your stone; the piece is finished, polished, and inspected against our standard.

Step 5 — Delivery

Collect it in person in Central — many clients love this moment — or have it shipped worldwide, fully insured and free of charge.

How long does it take?

Most commissions run 6–10 weeks from first conversation to finished piece, depending on the stone and the design. Planning a proposal or an anniversary? Tell us the date early and we'll work back from it.

What about heirlooms?

Some of our favourite commissions begin with an inherited stone or an old piece that's no longer worn. We can reset, redesign, or rebuild it into something the next generation will reach for daily — keeping the meaning, refreshing the form.
